Customer Reviews of Rowan Cottage, Glenbrittle, Skye - Sleeps 2
"Blissful area, lovely, well appointed and renovated cottage"
This was our second stay in this property as we so loved the area and cottage from our stay last year! The property is a little isolated, but that was just what we wanted and the views are both alpine, over the Cullins, and marine, out over the sea. This is an excellent place for walkers and those who love fresh air and peace, although other sights, such as Dunvegan Castle, are easily reached from here by car. The cottage is very well renovated with a lovely kitchen and bathroom, plus the conservatory has underfloor heating and gives excellent views. Happily, despite full renovation, the cottage still retains a lovely atmosphere and character and the owners are very welcoming and friendly and have given a great deal of thought to meeting visitors needs and making them comfortable. We plan another stay here again in the future and were very impressed by both the area and the accommodation. - Carla, Liverpool - Jul-2012
"Romantic and active getaway in the Cullins"
We loved it because: - Being greeted by the owner with freshly caught mackerel - How well we slept, heaters in the rooms made it quick and easy to stay warm, the nights are dark and silent so even the lightest of sleepers will have no problems - Well located for visiting the whole island but off the beaten track - Beautiful views from the conservatory of the mountains and the sea - Although other reviews have said it is good for honeymooners and older couples, we are both 23 and this was a perfect place to unwind at night after an activity filled day - Especially good for walking the Cullins! - Smith-Wicks, London, Oct-2011
"Would have been idyllic"
We had a good time but would not have taken the cottage if we had known that the owners were living next door with an ajoining door although it was locked both sides. - Sheila miller, Airdrie, Sep-2011
"Great location"
We were given a warm welcome on arrival, and a helpful tour of the property. The cottage was comfortable with good facilities. We especially like the conservatory on the front where we could sit and enjoy great views of both The Cuillin and the sea. The location was secluded but within easy reach of a shop on the Glenbrittle camp site. There were lots of walks straight from the cottage and also safe swimming in the sea. A great place to unwind. - Paul Arnesen, Sheffield - Aug-2011
