Customer Reviews of Ach-Na-Mara, Fiskavaig, Skye - Sleeps 4-6
st comment: Beautiful cottage in a fantastic setting close to Fiskavaig bay with views of the bay from the window and garden. Excellent walking clsoe by or a short drive away. Would recommend this cottage and Isle of Skye to friends and family. Saw loads of wildlife and had fun watching seals and an otter at dusk. Relaxed place with the cottage warm and relaxing place at the end of the day to return home to. Only issue is would benefit from an axe to chop firewood! Oct 2011.
nd comment: We loved the beach and did not realise how close we were to the sea. There were plenty of walks which we were unable to enjoy during the winter weather - highly recommend to stay when there is good weather. Oct 2011.
rd comment: Fantastic cottage in stunning location. Brilliant walk from cottage to broch and lighthouse perfect for unwinding after day of walking in Skye. Can not recommend Skye or this cottage enough. July 2011.

th comment: It’s such a fabby location and the house is always spotless. We do bring a lot of bits and pieces from home but on the whole the house is a real home from home. May 2011.
th comment: Lovely cottage in a lovely peaceful location. Very clean, and would go back. Recommend the local small hotel for food just 10-15 mins walk up the road, good selection of drinks at the bar and a friendly atmosphere. April 2011.
th comment: Cottage really good and amenities excellent - a true home from home nice cosy fire waiting on us on our arrival. First visit to Skye and really enjoyed it - scenery excellent. Went to coral beach - a must see visit. The light house was good for wild life but needed oxygen after the climb back up the stairs. Everyone we met in Skye very friendly and welcoming. March 2011.
th comment: Excellent, well maintained cottage close to the shore of fiskavaig Bay. The bay is full of mussels so be prepared with your recipes.Perfect for peace and relative isolation. Feb 2011.
th comment: Very clean with tea, coffee, milk and biscuits on arrival; just what you need after a long drive. Aug 2010.
th comment: Cosy, well-maintained cottage, plenty of books and games in case of poor weather. The bay it sits on is pretty and the beach interesting, although the cottage is quite low down the hill so you have to walk up the road a bit to get the best view of the bay. I guess this is reflected in the price. The housekeeper left tea, coffee and biscuits. July 2010.
th Comment Very comfortable cottage in a beautiful location. Welcome pack much appreciated. June 2010.

th Comment Great location, very comfortable and well equipped. Lovely place, shame about the weather! Aug 2009.
th Comment The location was the best thing about the property - only 50m from a remote beach that could only be accessed by a track made it feel like our private beach. July 2009.
th Comment Everything regarding our holiday was fantastic, from the booking by telephone - very friendly and helpful, cottage was lovely and well equipped - we would definitely choose the cottage for the second time, we did not have to contact the caretaker- not at all! Many thanks for a fabulous holiday! June 2009.
th Comment Its an ideal point to explore the island, with Broadford, Portree, and Dunvegan being approx equal distance from cottage. Access to the local bay is great but would be difficult for people with poor or restricted mobility. We have holidayed in the cottage before. The locals are friendly and helpful. April 2009.
