Bottling Note
The red squirrel which graces the label of this 12 year old bottling is a reference to the colony of rare squirrels which reside in the woodlands surrounding the Aberfeldy distillery.
Aberfeldy 12 Tasting Note
Nose: Creamy. Some sherried fruit with a trailing hint of smoke.
Great depth, sweet golden syrup and honey followed by spices and orange peel.
Finish: Malt, a faint hint of citrus.
The bulk of the production from Aberfeldy Distillery is also used in Dewars Blended whisky. There is also a 21 year old Malt available
