Day 1 - Our Spectacular Route North...

Our route to Skye takes you past beautiful Stirling Castle. We'll stop in a picturesque Highland town - Callendar, when you can relax over a cup of coffee or explore at your leisure.

You'll visit the battlefield of Culloden* the site of the defeat of the Jacobite forces in 1745, then we'll stop beside Loch Ness. Why not take a boat tour* over to Urquhart Castle or just monster hunt from the shore?
Our overnight stay is beside Loch Ness.

Day 2 - Eilean Donan: Scotland's most photographed castle...

As our road nears the coast of Skye, it passes Eilean Donan Castle*. Here you have the chance to take photographs and explore the castle that featured in the film Highlander.

Then it's time to cross the bridge to Skye. We'll cross the bridge to Skye and you can take things nice and easy but still see all the sights, such as the craggy Cuillin Mountains, Portree and outstanding beautiful Trotternish Peninsula. What Skye memories will you bring back? Maybe you'll spy an inquisitive seal peaking out of the waves as you walk the coast, or a stag silhouetted on a hillside.
Overnight Stay on Skye

Here the A82 continues south to Fort William, while the A86 branches east through Glen Spean to join the A9 Perth to Inverness road finally at Kingussie. All along this route are many opportunities to get off the beaten track and explore huge chunks of real wilderness, deserted since the Clearances and soaked in the blood of history.
