Oxford Bar
The Oxford Bar situated on Young Street, Edinburgh is well known for having been featured in Ian Rankin's Inspector Rebus series of novels. It still retains the original compartmentalised form which many other local bars have lost.
A favorite of cops who are not on duty. Seeped with legends right from Willie Ross, it's a Rebus's bar and of course you can spot a lot of Ian Rankin fans here. Delightful mixture of locals and tourists. A traditional bar where you can see an Edinburgh of yonder times. Live music sessions are encouraged and sometimes it looks more like a club though it never fails in giving you a homely feel.
